Darren Gaffney
Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry), Bachelor of Nursing
After completing a Bachelor of Nursing, Darren worked alongside leading surgeons in Brisbane and the Gold Coast before travelling to London in 1998 to work at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital with some of the UK’s top foot and ankle specialists. It was here that his passion for foot and ankle function began, leading him to return to Australia and pursue podiatry.
Darren completed his Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) in 2005 and has since worked at Gold Coast Foot Centres, developing a strong interest and expertise in sports podiatry.
With a background in Rugby Union and a personal passion for sport, Darren has also taken on triathlon, completing multiple Half Ironman events. A long-term Gold Coast resident, he is deeply involved in the local sporting community and serves as a Board Director for the Gold Coast District Rugby Union and a member of the Bond University Rugby Board. In 2018, Darren was honoured to be appointed as an official podiatrist for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, working with elite athletes from around the world.
Outside of work, Darren enjoys spending time with his family and making the most of the Gold Coast’s outdoor lifestyle.

Eleanor Robinson
Born in North Yorkshire, England, Eleanor moved to the Gold Coast with her family in 2007. She completed her Bachelor of Podiatry and Bachelor of Pedorthics at Southern Cross University in 2021 and 2022. Eleanor has a strong interest in treating foot and ankle conditions, particularly diabetic and dermatological concerns, and takes a holistic approach to care.
She has experience in high-risk clinics, focusing on skin and nail health, offloading, and footwear solutions to support her patients’ needs. Eleanor is also committed to professional advocacy as a Director on the Board of Pedorthic Association Australia, where she contributes to governance, sector development, and public awareness of foot health and footwear.
Outside of work, Eleanor enjoys life on her acreage with her animals, exploring walking trails, visiting cafes, and dabbling in ceramics.
